Use actual state merit rank where available. AIR conversion is a historical planning aid.
Which number should you enter?
The supplied Uttar Pradesh counselling allotments use state merit rank. If you have your official UP state merit rank, enter it directly. If you have only NEET PG All India Rank, enter AIR in the alternative field.
If both numbers are entered, RankGood uses the state merit rank. This avoids replacing a known state position with a historical estimate. Do not enter category rank, examination marks or a state rank from another counselling list into either field.
How historical AIR conversion works
RankGood uses the supplied 2025 AIR-to-state-rank mapping. When the AIR has a recorded match, that mapped value is used. Between recorded values, the existing conversion estimates a state rank using neighbouring entries.
The mapping currently covers AIR 100 to 1,38,566. Outside that interval, enter the actual state merit rank instead of extrapolating. Results using AIR show the entered AIR and an approximate state rank for the comparison.
Why the estimate can change in another year
A state merit list depends on the people included in that year’s process and their eligible rank positions. Last year’s relationship between AIR and state rank is not a permanent conversion scale.
The tool has no verified 2026 merit list. An estimated state rank does not register you, establish domicile or confirm official eligibility. Once the authority publishes your actual rank, use that figure and recheck the relevant round instructions.
Read the result on the state-rank scale
The UP comparison uses supplied 2025 round-wise state allotments. Its displayed closing ranks and expanded history are state merit ranks, even if AIR was the input. Do not compare those numbers directly with the closing AIR in an MCC result.
Safe, Moderate and Ambitious in UP reflect regular-round and Stray support in this one-year history. They do not have the same three-year evidence as the AIQ guide. The category shown in a row describes the allotted seat.
Check eligibility and costs separately
The guide includes government-college options only under the declared UP state-quota selection and excludes government DNB/NBEMS and unreviewed special-category codes. That declaration is a tool input, not official proof of eligibility.
Available UP course fees are matched to the supplied college/course sheet. Missing financial details stay unknown. Confirm the current college type, offering, documents, quota rules and fee notice with the state authority and institution before choice filling.
Put your research into practice
Compare historical options, check available financial references and save the choices your access permits.
